The Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB) is reopening a contentious debate on Tuesday night when they discuss a motion to potentially fly the Pride flag during Pride Month in June.
This comes almost nine months after a decision was made in late April to not do so. That led to residents launching an online petition to gather support for raising the flag, which received social media support from Eugene Levy, and his two kids Dan and Sarah.
Halton’s four Liberal MP’s signed an open letter to the trustees expressing their “unwavering support” for flying the flag.
