The Milton Menace are on the road Friday, January 20th as they look to get a win back.
The last time fans saw the Menace on the ice, they lost 3-1 to the Markham Royals at home on Tuesday, January 17th. Read that recap here. They now head south to take on the Oakville Blades, who they beat 3-2 in their last matchup in December.
The Milton Menace are 23-11-1-2, remaining at 49-points on the season. They are in fourth place of the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s North/West Conference, up two points over the Pickering Panthers with two games in hand. A lot of the success of the Menace comes from their three all-stars: Aidan Hughes, Lucas Buzziol, and Captain Owen Forester. Hughes leads the way with 24-goals and 36-assists in 37-games played. You can check out the team’s player stats here.
The Oakville Blades are having a rough season this year. In 36-games, they are 10-24-1-1 with 22-points this season. That puts them at ninth in the North/West Conference, up ten points on the last place Brantford 99ers (which tells you how bad THAT team is doing). Their leading scorer is Matthew Wang, who has 16-goals and 15-assists in 34-games. Get their player stats here.
Friday’s game will be at the Sixteen Mile Sports Centre. Game-time is slated for 7:00 p.m.
The Menace will then play the Collingwood Blues on Saturday, January 21st. Puck-drop at the Eddie Bush Arena is set for 5:30 p.m.
The next home game for the Menace is scheduled for Friday, January 27th when they take on the Georgetown Raiders. Milton Menace home tickets for this OJHL season can be found here.
