There is a big jump in COVID-19 cases in Halton, and especially Milton.
Across Halton, there are 69 new cases. That brings the total number to 2998 cases. There have been 2404 resolved cases and 45 deaths. That is one more death that what was reported on Friday. It’s believed to have been a Halton Hills resident, giving the town 14 deaths total. There are currently 549 active cases in Halton.
In Milton, there is a major jump in cases. We have 36 new cases being reported today. That brings the total 779 cases. With 594 resolved cases and four deaths, we are up to 181 active cases.
Oakville leads the way in Halton with 250 active cases. Milton is close behind. Burlington has 88 active cases, and Halton Hills has 30.
Burlington has the most deaths in Halton with 16. Halton Hills is next with its 14 deaths. Oakville has 11. Milton has the least, despite its current high active case count.
