
A second sworn member of the Halton Regional Police Service has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
They made the announcement through a release on their Twitter page.
In the release, Halton Police say the officer had maintained physical distancing measures when interacting with the public.
They say the officer had begun showing symptoms after their last shift on April 9th.
They are at home as they continue to recover and rest.
An investigation is underway; however, Halton Police believe there is no immediate exposure concern for members of the public.
