The All Hands On Deck Food Drive

This second annual event is an initiative of 101.3 myFM Milton in support of Food4Kids Halton. Food and monetary donations collected on August 13, 2020 will help fill the tummies of 214 kids in Milton.

There is a NEED at Food4Kids Halton all year! There is a NEED right now! It’s no secret, there are children in our community that go hungry every day. With backto-school only a couple of weeks away from August 13, myFM and its community partners will focus on collecting food to help feed our future.

Food4Kids provides a weekend supply of healthy foods to ensure at-risk children have access to nutritious meals at home. Since the start of COVID-19, the number of children supported in Milton has increased substantially to 214.

“We are thrilled to have the support once again from 101.3 myFM with this incredible day long food drive that will be key in stocking our bare shelves in preparation for back to school,” said Gayle Kabbash, Executive Director at Food4Kids.

“This fall we can get back to filling healthy bags of food for our 214 Milton children to take home for the weekend.”

The All Hands On Deck Community Food Drive will be broadcast LIVE from 9a-5p at John’s No Frills (6520 Derry Rd W.) where we will be collecting food and monetary donations.

The 8-hour live broadcast will take-over the airwaves of 101.3 myFM, its social media and MiltonNow.ca. “Community support is key to Food4Kids’ success,” adds Kabbash

. “Having the support of 101.3 myFM is incredible not only for the food that is collected but the awareness of our need in Milton.
