The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, March 7th and Monday, March 14th, there were at least 21 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A breaking and entering case on Holgate Crescent on Monday, March 7th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Guelph Line in Campbellville on Monday, March 7th;
- three quality of life cases on Martin Street on Tuesday, March 8th;
- a property crime case on Laurier Avenue on Tuesday, March 8th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Freeman Trail on Tuesday, March 8th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Tuesday, March 8th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Coombs Court on Wednesday, March 9th;
- a property crime case on Main Street East on Wednesday, March 9th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue East on Wednesday, March 9th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Ontario Street North on Thursday, March 10th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Trudeau Drive on Thursday, March 10th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Pratt Heights on Thursday, March 10th;
- a property crime case at Nakerville Crescent and Urell Way on Friday, March 11th;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Friday, March 11th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Main Street East on Friday, March 11th;
- a breaking and entering case on Harrop Drive on Friday, March 11th;
- a breaking and entering case on Balsam Court on Saturday, March 12th;
- a theft case on Ontario Street East on Saturday, March 12th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Farmstead Drive on Sunday, March 13th;
Of the 21 cases of crime, 11 were theft cases of some kind, three were quality of life cases, three were property crimes cases, three were breaking and entering cases, and one was an assault case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
