Menace Warm-Up 2019
It’s a huge win for the Milton Menace!
On the day after Family Day, the team gave a show for families. They took on the Stouffville Spirit at the Milton Memorial Arena. Local boy Ryan O’Donnell opened the scoring with a goal (assisted by Ben Hofstetter and Thomas Gordon) 11 minutes into the game. Holden Rogers (Nicholas Wereha and Owen Forester) then scored to make it 2-0 after the first period.
The second period began with two goals from the Menace. Hofstetter (Jordan Stock) and Ethan Sims (Tyler Turpin and Aiden Hughes) made it a 4-0 game. The Spirit would score a quick one before an unassisted James Barbour goal made it 5-1 after two.
Hughes, Stock, and Barbour all tallied goals in the third period to make it an 8-1 final score.
Will Goumas had a light night in net for the Menace, stopping 19 of 20 shots from the Spirit.
The Menace next play the Aurora Tigers on Friday, February 25th at 7:30 p.m. in Aurora.
Aiming for the franchise’s first playoff spot, Milton is 25-10-0-4 after 39 games, giving them 54 points on the season. They’re second in the West Division and sixth around the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
