
The latest COVID-19 stats from the Halton Region show an additional death in the totals. The death appears to be a Burlington resident, giving the city 117 deaths total. Oakville remains at 93 deaths total. Milton is at 63 deaths total. Halton Hills is at 66. Halton is now at 339 deaths total from COVID-19.
Across Halton, there are 139 new cases coming out of the long weekend. The total number of cases is up to 42,717. There have been 1,114 total hospitalizations in Halton.
In Milton, we had 37 new cases since Friday. That brings us to 11,953 total cases. There have been 274 total hospitalizations in Milton.
There are two active outbreaks in Milton:
- A congregate living facility labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 86’. It was first declared on December 23rd.
- A congregate living facility labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 118’. It was first declared on February 10th.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,248,929 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,108,744 of the doses were to Halton residents.
