COVID-19: 54 new cases in Halton, 22 in Milton

The latest COVID-19 stats for Milton and Halton have been made available.

The following note was issued by the Halton Region:

• Effective Friday, February 11, 2022, the Halton COVID-19 dashboard has been modernized to reflect the most meaningful and accurate data currently available. This includes the addition of information on third dose coverage, wastewater surveillance, revised monitoring indicators, and detailed trends over time including hospitalizations and deaths.
• The population estimates used to calculate vaccine coverage rates have also been updated to reflect the most recently available estimates. This will result in some initial shifts in vaccine coverage rates. For more information, please review the data notes below the dashboard.

Across Halton, there are 54 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 42,519. There have been 1,110 total hospitalizations in Halton.

In Milton, we had 22 new cases. That brings us to 11,903 total cases. There have been 273 total hospitalizations in Milton.

There are two active outbreaks in Milton:

• A congregate living facility labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 86’. It was first declared on December 23rd.
• A congregate living facility labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 118’. It was first declared on February 10th.

Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 1,240,332 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 1,100,645 of the doses were to Halton residents.

Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:

• 55,636 total doses have been administered to people aged 5-11;
• 91,173 total doses have been administered to people aged 12-17;
• 104,032 total doses have been administered to people aged 18-24;
• 67,183 total doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
• 78,368 total doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
• 91,428 total doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
• 98,389 total doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
• 103,409 total doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
• 104,456 total doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
• 99,534 total doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;

• 65,943 total doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
• 51,002 total doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;

• 146 total additional doses are pending.

The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:

• 340,268 total doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
• 31,061 total doses have been administered through other clinic settings;
• 869,003 total doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
