The 9th annual Milton Film Festival is moving entirely virtual for its event later this month.
It was planning on holding in-person screenings at Georgetown’s John Elliott Theatre. Those have been cancelled due to the new provincial restrictions.
Four of the five films that were expected to be screened in-person will now be available for online streaming. The festival is unable to stream the film The Rescue, but it will be replacing it with the award-winning Sundance hit LUZZU – Malta’s submission to the Oscars this year.
The Milton Film Festival will start on January 29th. It will run until February 6th.
