The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, December 20th and Monday, December 27th, there were at least 23 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A breaking and entering case on Main Street East on Monday, December 20th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Thompson Road South on Monday, December 20th;
- a breaking and entering case on Pozbou Crescent on Monday, December 20th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Escarpment Way on Monday, December 20th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Nipissing Road on Tuesday, December 21st;
- a theft case on Bronte Street South on Tuesday, December 21st;
- a theft case on Bronte Street South on Wednesday, December 22nd;
- a theft from vehicle case on Robson Crescent on Wednesday, December 22nd;
- a theft from vehicle case on Barr Crescent on Wednesday, December 22nd;
- a theft from vehicle case on Stearn Place on Wednesday, December 22nd;
- a theft case on Croft Avenue on Wednesday, December 22nd;
- a theft case on Cedar Hedge Road on Wednesday, December 22nd;
- a property crime case on Derry Road on Wednesday, December 22nd;
- a theft of vehicle case on Greenlees Circle on Thursday, December 23rd;
- an assault case on Margaret Street on Thursday, December 23rd;
- an assault case on Clitherow Street on Thursday, December 23rd;
- a property crime case on Scott Boulevard on Thursday, December 23rd;
- an assault case on High Point Drive on Friday, December 24th;
- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, December 24th;
- an assault case on Childs Drive on Saturday, December 25th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Syndenham Lane on Sunday, December 26th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Tyrone Crescent on Sunday, December 26th; and,
- a theft of vehicle case on Ontario Street South on Sunday, December 26th.
Of the 23 cases of crime, 15 were theft cases of some kind, four were assault cases, two were property crime cases, and two were breaking and entering cases.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
