UPDATE
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested the suspect responsible for a shooting that took place on December 20, 2021 in Oakville.
A warrant was executed yesterday at a residence in Durham.
23-year-old Terrell Gooden of Oshawa has been charged with:
- Attempt Murder While Using Restricted Firearm or Prohibited Firearm
- Aggravated Assault
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Careless Use of Firearm
- Discharge Firearm in Reckless Manner
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Point Firearm
- Fail to Comply with Release Order (3 counts)
Gooden has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The lengthy investigation resulted in a total of 27 warrants being authorized. It also required the services of numerous HRPS resources including: Intelligence Unit, 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau, Intimate Partner Violence Unit, Emergency Services Unit, Mobile Surveillance Unit, Cyber Crime Unit, Human Trafficking/Drug Unit and the Regional Fraud Unit.

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a shooting.
Officers responded to the shooting at 11:50 p.m. on Monday, December 20th. It was at a residence in the area of Ernest Appelbe Boulevard and Dundas Street East in Oakville. A male victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Police have not made an arrest however investigators believe this to be a targeted shooting and that the individuals involved in this incident are known to each other. The investigation is ongoing at this time and residents can expect a continued police presence in the area.
