A crash in Georgetown closed a local road on Thursday afternoon.
It happened on Trafalgar Road between 15 Side Road and 10 Side Road in Georgetown. A vehicle travelling northbound on Trafalgar was struck by the trailer of a vehicle travelling southbound which had been blown into the northbound lane by excessive wind. A 73-year-old woman was transported to Hamilton General with life threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
Due to the nature of the injuries, the Collision Reconstruction Unit has assumed carriage of the investigation. Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are requested to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747 ext.5065.
