
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Milton and the surrounding area.
While we’re expecting a warm couple of days this week with lots of rain, it’s actually the wind that they’re warning about. They say that winds up to 90 km/h are expected on Thursday in Milton.
“Strong southwesterly winds with gusts of 70 to 90 km/h are expected to develop Thursday morning or early afternoon. The highest winds are expected along the shores of Lake Huron, where gusts to 90 km/h are likely. Winds will slowly ease Thursday night.”
Environment Canada then warns that power outages could happen during harsh wind storms.
