A teenage Oakville girl is in stable condition after suffering life-threatening injuries when she was hit by a car.
The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) says they received a report of the collision at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 12th. It happened near the intersection of Rebecca Street and Brock Street in Oakville. The teen was crossing the road as a pedestrian at a crosswalk when she was struck by a car moving westbound.
The HRPS says the driver of the car, a 28 year old Oakville man, remained on scene and was cooperative with police investigation.
The pedestrian was transported to Hamilton General Hospital by Halton Region Paramedic Services.
Rebecca Street in this area was closed for roughly three hours for the investigation.
