The latest COVID-19 stats for Milton and Halton have been released.
Across Halton, there are 36 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 20,769. With 20,289 resolved cases and 244 deaths, Halton is at 236 active cases, five less than Tuesday. The Region says that of the 20,769 total cases, 20,042 were confirmed positive while 727 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have eight new cases. That brings us to 6619 total cases. With 6502 resolved cases and 47 deaths, Milton is at 70 active cases, 13 less than Tuesday’s update. The Region says that of the 6619 total cases, 6364 were confirmed positive while 255 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is reporting variant case totals. It says that 7867 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 2552 total variant cases.
An outbreak has been declared at a congregate living facility. It is labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 80’ on the Halton Region outbreak webpage. There are 81 cases being reported – 29 are non-Halton cases, 50 are residents, and two are staff cases. It was first declared on Thursday, November 4th.
An outbreak at a Milton School has declared closed by the Halton Region. It was at Milton Quran Institute. There were 17 cases being reported: 15 were Halton cases and two were non-Halton cases. It was first declared on Tuesday, November 23rd. It was closed on Friday, December 3rd.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 915,234 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 819,754 of the doses were to Halton residents.
461,492 second doses have been administered in Halton. 411,126 of those have been Halton residents.

- 22,967 first doses and 22,473 second doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 17,340 first doses and 17,174 second doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 24,737 first doses and 24,530 second doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 14,288 first doses and 1401 second doses are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 84,609 first doses and 110,959 second doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 13,877 first doses and 10,107 second doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 355,256 first doses and 340,426 second doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
