The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 71 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Simcoe over the weekend (dec 3-5).

32 of the positive cases are in people 17 years of age and under.
There were 224 confirmed cases in Simcoe County.
There are now 189 active cases in South Simcoe, up 48 since Friday (dec 3) with 2 cases in hospital which is down 2.
With kids aged 5-11 now eligible for vaccine, the health unit still now shows 79% of residents of Simcoe Muskoka have had their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine with 75% fully vaccinated.
