The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report, along with the CityProtect crime map.
The report and map each detail when and where reported crimes took place in Milton. Between Monday, November 29th and Monday, December 6th, there were at least 15 cases of crime took place. Here’s what we found:
- A property crime case on Clarriage Court on Monday, November 29th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Speyer Circle on Monday, November 29th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Meadowbrook Drive on Monday, November 29th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Meighen Way on Tuesday, November 30th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Court Street North on Tuesday, November 30th;
- a breaking and entering case on Trafalgar Road on Tuesday, November 30th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Wednesday, December 1st;
- a theft case on Kings Court Crescent on Wednesday, December 1st;
- three theft cases on Ontario Street South on Friday, December 3rd;
- a theft from vehicle case on Lorne Scots Drive on Friday, December 3rd;
- a theft from vehicle case on McCrae Court on Friday, December 3rd;
- a theft case on Parkhill Drive on Friday, December 3rd; and,
- a breaking and entering case on Kean Hill Drive near Brookville on Saturday, December 4th.
Of the 15 cases of crime, 12 were theft cases, two were break and enter cases, and one property crime case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
