Conditions are favourable for a period of lake effect snow squalls off Georgian Bay beginning this evening and continue into Tuesday.
The weather office says heavy snow, with accumulations exceeding 15 cm in 12 hours, are possible starting this evening.
They add the rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult in some areas.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
