The Chief Medical Officer of Health with the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is concerned about the number of COVID cases he is seeing in the area.
Dr. Charles Gardner says this area is well on its way to surpassing 100 positive cases a day by next month.

Dr. Gardner says the province as a whole has remained at a relatively low level of transmission throughout the 4th wave.
He says for the first time during the pandemic Simcoe Muskoka is well above the transmission rate in the GTA and that of the province.
