Beginning Monday, (nov 22) everyone entering Stevenson Memorial Hospital will require to be fully vaccinated to enter the facility.
A release from the Alliston hospital on Friday (nov 19) indicates that regardless of the reason for visiting, all visitors and supports of patients must pass a COVID-19 screening, provide proof of full vaccination along with ID.
People who have traveled outside Canada in the last 14 days will not be permitted to enter the hospital and proof of a negative PCR or rapid antigen test will not be accepted.
The hospital says to date, 99% of the staff and physicians at Stevenson are vaccinated against COVID-19.
The hospital had stated that Oct 31 was the deadline for vaccine compliance by staff but that deadline had been extended.

FM92 has asked if any staff had been disciplined or discharged for non-compliance but the hospital has yet to answer that question.
