
The latest COVID-19 stats for Milton and Halton have been released.
Across Halton, there are 14 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 20,193. With 19,855 resolved cases and 243 deaths, Halton is at 95 active cases, two less than Thursday. The Region says that of the 20,193 total cases, 19,478 were confirmed positive while 715 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have three new cases. That brings us to 6433 total cases. With 6365 resolved cases and 46 deaths, Milton is at 22 active cases, two less than Thursday’s update. The Region says that of the 6433 total cases, 6182 were confirmed positive while 251 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is reporting variant case totals. It says that 7684 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 2512 total variant cases.
An outbreak has been declared at a congregate living facility. It is labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 80’ on the Halton Region outbreak webpage. There are 19 cases being reported – seven are non-Halton cases and 12 are residents.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 899,252 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 805,017 of the doses were to Halton residents.
458,421 second doses have been administered in Halton. 408,747 of those have been Halton residents.

- 25,528 first doses and 24,586 second doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 23,007 first doses and 22,432 second doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 17,360 first doses and 17,151 second doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 24,810 first doses and 24,499 second doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 2024 first doses and 1371 second doses are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 81,078 first doses and 108,558 second doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 13,941 first doses and 10,133 second doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 345,812 first doses and 339,730 second doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
