Ottawa is set for a morning announcement saying Health Canada has given the thumbs up for the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine.
That means, parents with kids aged five to 11 will now be able to have their young children immunized.
A media briefing with officials is scheduled for 10 a.m. Eastern.
Canada is expecting an accelerated delivery of 2.9 million child-sized doses, enough for a first dose for every child in the new age group.
