A New Tecumseth resident became the 19th person in that municipality to pass away due to coronavirus.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 20 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Simcoe in the last 2 days (nov 10-11).
The health unit didn’t report COVID figures yesterday, on Remembrance Day.
9 in Innisfil, 4 in New Tecumseth, 4 in Essa and 3 in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
There were 94 confirmed cases in Simcoe County, 51 of which were in Barrie.
There are now 75 active cases in South Simcoe, up 3 since Wednesday (nov 10) with 4 cases in hospital which is down 1.
The health unit continues to show 87% of eligible residents of Simcoe Muskoka have had their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine with 84% fully vaccinated.
