The latest COVID-19 stats have been released for Milton and Halton, ahead of the weekend.
Across Halton, there are 12 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 20,080. With 19,747 resolved cases and 243 deaths, Halton is at 90 active cases, seven less than Thursday. The Region says that of the 20,080 total cases, 19,371 were confirmed positive while 709 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have six new cases. That brings us to 6406 total cases. With 6322 resolved cases and 46 deaths, Milton is at 38 active cases, four cases more than Thursday’s update. The Region says that of the 6406 total cases, 6159 were confirmed positive while 247 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is reporting variant case totals. It says that 7660 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 2507 total variant cases.
An outbreak has been reported at a Milton school. It’s at Holy Rosary (Milton) Catholic Elementary School. It was first reported by the Halton Region on Wednesday, October 27th. There are two cases being reported (the minimum for an outbreak). Both are considered Halton cases, meaning they are Halton residents.
An outbreak has been declared at a Milton school. It’s at Tiger Jeet Singh Public School. It was first declared on Thursday, November 4th. There are three reported cases. All are considered Halton cases.
An outbreak has been declared at a congregate living facility. It is labelled only as ‘Congregate Living – 80’ on the Halton Region outbreak webpage. There are 15 cases being reported – four are non-Halton cases, one is a resident, and ten are unspecified.
A new outbreak has been declared at a workplace in Milton. It’s listed only as ‘workplace – 164’. There are three reported cases. All three are considered Halton cases. It was first declared on Wednesday, November 10th.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 896,402 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 802,834 of the doses were to Halton residents.
456,680 second doses have been administered in Halton. 407,330 of those have been Halton residents.

- 2012 first doses and 1349 second doses are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 80,440 first doses and 107,407 second doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 13,925 first doses and 10,133 second doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 345,357 first doses and 339,140 second doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
