Cell phones are a luxury that many people cannot afford.
CONTACT Community Services in Alliston is doing something about that.
Jerry Martinovic is the Housing Services Manager.
He says they are collecting unused, but still functioning smart phones to assist those who are disconnected.
Martinovic says they will provide the phones free of charge to people who need them.
Phones can be dropped off at the Clothes Line Thrift Store on Victoria Street in Alliston.
Just be aware they are not accepting flip phones because they can’t connect to Wi-Fi.
