Honda is celebrating 35 years in Alliston.
The Japanese automaker first produced the Civic in 1986, then moved to the Odyssey, Ridgeline, Pilot and then back to the Civic.
The facility now builds only Civics and CR-V’s in it’s Honda line.
Kevin Mullins is the Manager of Administration with Honda Canada.
He says they are proud of what they have accomplished in Alliston.
Mullins says they produce close to 400,000 vehicles a year.
As the only Honda Plant in Canada, the Alliston facility employs approximately 4600 people.
