The latest crime stats report has been released by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), alongside the provided CityProtect Crime Map.
Each week, the report and map detail where and when reported crime cases took place in Milton. Between Monday, November 1st and Monday, November 8th, there were at least 21 cases of crime that were reported to the HRPS. While browsing the map, here’s what we found:
- A breaking and entering case on Childs Drive on Monday, November 1st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Miltonbrook Crescent on Monday, November 1st;
- a breaking and entering case on Coombs Court on Monday, November 1st;
- three theft from vehicle cases on Coombs Court on Monday, November 1st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Gooch Crescent on Monday, November 1st;
- a theft case on Bennett Boulevard on Tuesday, November 2nd;
- an assault case on Ferguson Drive on Wednesday, November 3rd;
- a pair of quality of life cases on Martin Street on Wednesday, November 3rd;
- a theft case on Regional Road 25 on Wednesday, November 3rd;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Wednesday, November 3rd;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Wednesday, November 3rd;
- a theft case on Giddings Crescent on Thursday, November 4th;
- an assault case on Ontario Street South on Friday, November 5th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Lawson Road on Friday, November 5th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Dixon Drive on Friday, November 5th;
- an assault case on Steeles Avenue East on Friday, November 5th;
- a theft case on Sim Place on Friday, November 5th; and,
- a property crime on Mulroney Heights on Friday, November 5th.
Of the 21 cases of crime, 12 were theft cases, four were assault cases, two were break and enter cases, two were quality of life case, and one was property crime cases.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
