The Halton Region has released the latest COVID-19 stats for Milton and Halton.
Across Halton, there are 14 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 19,947. With 19,627 resolved cases and 243 deaths, Halton is at 77 active cases, the same as Tuesday’s update. The Region says that of the 19,947 total cases, 19,249 were confirmed positive while 698 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have three new cases. That brings us to 6355 total cases. With 6292 resolved cases and 46 deaths, Milton is at 17 active cases, one case less than Tuesday’s update. The Region says that of the 6355 total cases, 6112 were confirmed positive while 243 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region has updated its definition of variant cases to align with Provincial reporting. The number of variant cases will be higher on Tuesday, November 2nd due to this reporting update. It is says that 7539 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 2267 total variant cases.
An outbreak has been reported at a Milton school. It’s at Holy Rosary (Milton) Catholic Elementary School. It was first reported by the Halton Region on Wednesday, October 27th. There are two cases being reported (the minimum for an outbreak). Both are considered Halton cases, meaning they are Halton residents.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 892,030 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 799,505 of the doses were to Halton residents.
453,880 second doses have been administered in Halton. 405,114 of those have been Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:

- 28,994 first doses and 28,746 second doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 25,439 first doses and 24,500 second doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 22,943 first doses and 22,357 second doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 17,304 first doses and 17,114 second doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 24,723 first doses and 24,457 second doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 1990 first doses and 1321 second doses are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 79,456 first doses and 105,642 second doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 13,900 first doses and 10,101 second doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 344,794 first doses and 338,137 second doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
