The Halton Region has provided the updated coronavirus stats for Milton and Halton.
Across Halton, there are 12 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 19,933. With 19,613 resolved cases and 243 deaths, Halton is at 77 active cases, four less than Monday’s update. The Region says that of the 19,933 total cases, 19,236 were confirmed positive while 697 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have four new cases. That brings us to 6352 total cases. With 6288 resolved cases and 46 deaths, Milton is at 18 active cases, two cases more than Monday’s update. The Region says that of the 6352 total cases, 6110 were confirmed positive while 242 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region has updated its definition of variant cases to align with Provincial reporting. The number of variant cases will be higher on Tuesday, November 2nd due to this reporting update. It is says that 7537 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 2267 total variant cases.
An outbreak has been reported at a Milton school. It’s at Holy Rosary (Milton) Catholic Elementary School. It was first reported by the Halton Region on Wednesday, October 27th. There are two cases being reported (the minimum for an outbreak). Both are considered Halton cases, meaning they are Halton residents.
Looking at vaccination numbers, a total of 892,269 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 799,761 of the doses were to Halton residents.
454,101 second doses have been administered in Halton. 405,327 of those have been Halton residents.

- 25,439 first doses and 24,505 second doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 22,938 first doses and 22,365 second doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 17,306 first doses and 17,116 second doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 24,719 first doses and 24,468 second doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 1998 first doses and 1320 second doses are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 79,409 first doses and 105,571 second doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 13,891 first doses and 10,097 second doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 344,868 first doses and 338,433 second doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
