The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has provided details to an assault case that occurred overnight in Oakville.
The report says that just before 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27th, the victim had attended the residence of the accused. The HRPS says the two were known to each other. Once at the residence, an altercation ensued and it is alleged that the accused repeatedly punched the victim, and struck him with a baseball bat. The victim left the residence and attended the hospital with serious injuries.
The HRPS received the report at roughly 2:30 a.m. on Thursday morning. Officers attended the residence of the accused and arrested the 51-year-old. Charges are pending.
