A drug trafficking investigation that began in June, involving the Nottawasaga OPP has ended with 5 arrests including one person from Essa Township.
Two search warrants were carried out yesterday (oct21) one in Toronto, the other in Wasaga Beach.
10 separate police units were involved in the investigation, search and arrests.
The 5 adults are facing charges ranging from the Trafficking and Possession of various narcotics, including Cocaine, Heroine, Codeine, Oxycodone and MDMA – otherwise
known as methamphetamine.
Charges also come the possession of firearms.
Police say the street value of the drugs is estimated at over $60,000.
Those arrested include a 39-year-old male from Essa Township, a 29-year-old female, from Wasaga Beach, a 37-year-old male, from Wasaga Beach, a 30-year-old male, from Toronto and a 36-year-old male, from Brampton.
All 5 are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
