The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 7 new cases of COVID-19 in South Simcoe in the last day (oct 19).
3 of those in New Tecumseth, 3 in Innisfil and 1 in Essa.
There were 20 in total in Simcoe County.
There are now 40 active cases in South Simcoe, up 2 since Tuesday (oct 19) with 2 cases in hospital which is down 1.
The health unit still shows 86% of eligible residents of Simcoe Muskoka have had their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine with 82% now fully vaccinated.
