The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats for Milton, along with the CityProtect crime map.
Each week, the map details when and where cases of crime took place in and around Milton. Between Monday, October 4th and Tuesday, October 12th, we saw at least 29 cases of crime reported around Milton. Here’s what we could find when browsing the map:
- A theft case on Houston Drive on Monday, October 4th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Lancaster Boulevard on Monday, October 4th;
- an assault case on Farmstead Drive on Monday, October 4th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Harkin Place on Monday, October 4th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Playfair Terrace on Monday, October 4th;
- an assault case on Chretien Street on Tuesday, October 5th;
- a property crime case on Tremaine Road on Tuesday, October 5th;
- a theft case on Campbellville’s Main Street on Wednesday, October 6th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Dublin Line on Wednesday, October 6th;
- a pair of theft from vehicle cases at the Toronto Premium Outlets on Steeles Avenue on Wednesday, October 6th;
- a theft from vehicle case in the area of Duncan Lane and Jarrett Crossing on Wednesday, October 6th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Kelman Court on Wednesday, October 6th;
- a theft of vehicle case in the area of Featherstone Road and Sinclair Boulevard on Wednesday, October 6th;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Wednesday, October 6th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Lawson Road on Wednesday, October 6th;
- an assault case in the area of Louis St. Laurent Avenue and Bronte Street South on Thursday, October 7th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Steeles Avenue on Thursday, October 7th;
- a pair of theft from vehicle cases on Livock Trail on Thursday, October 7th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Lingen Crescent on Thursday, October 7th;
- a property crime case on Sauve Street on Thursday, October 7th;
- an assault case on Kincardine Terrace on Thursday, October 7th;
- an assault case on Lavery Heights on Friday, October 8th;
- a theft case on Derry Road on Friday, October 8th;
- a theft from vehicle case in the area of Cumming Boulevard and Powys Street on Friday, October 8th;
- an assault case on Ontario Street South on Friday, October 8th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Woodward Avenue on Saturday, October 9th; and,
- a theft of vehicle case on Yates Drive on Sunday, October 10th.
Of the 29 cases that we were able track down on the map, 21 were theft cases of some kind, six were assault cases, and two were property crime cases.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
