It wasn’t the best weekend for the Milton Menace.
It began with their home and season opener against the Brantford 99ers on Friday night at the Milton Memorial Arena. 300 people were on-hand to watch the team play hard against the former Milton Icehawks.

99ers player Adrian Rebelo scored a powerplay goal early in the second to tie the game, but the Menace quickly took the lead back with a powerplay goal from Andrew Horsley. Ryan O’Donnell and Lucas Buziol were given the assists on the goal.
Horsley came back for seconds to give Milton a 3-1 lead. Adam Tucci had the lone assist. Brantford’s Ryan Vannetten scored with 2:41 seconds left in the second period to make it 3-2 Milton after two.

The Menace then played the Burlington Cougars on Sunday night.

Richard got his second of the game in the second period. That was answered by Menace Captain Jordan Stock, his first of the season. It came with an extra attacker on the ice. Tyler Amaral got the lone assist.
Before the second period could end, the Cougars scored again to make it 3-2 after two.
The two teams traded a pair of goals each in the third. Jordan Stock scored on the powerplay, assisted by Andrew Horsley and Justin Randhawa. With eight seconds left and an extra attacker on the ice, the Menace scored their fourth of the game thanks to Justin Randhawa. Amaral got another assist.
Andrew Horsley currently leads the team with four points over two games.
The Milton Menace will return to action on Friday night with a game against the Stouffville Spirit. Gametime is set for 7:30 at the Milton Memorial Arena.
