The Community Foundation of Halton North (CFHN) is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a 10-hour webathon.
The event will accept donations to a group of ten local charities that have signed on:
- Halton Learning Foundation
- Community Living North Halton
- ROCK
- CAShh
- Milton District Hospital Foundation
- Townsend-Smith Foundation
- Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton
- ArtSpark through the Town of Milton
Darryl Demille is on the Board of Directors involved with marketing for the foundation. He says it was a natural fit to have this celebration for their tenth anniversary.
He adds that this is all about helping local organizations that have done great work over the years.
CFHN will also be holding a small in-person event for the webathon. This will be at the Milton Farmers’ Market on Saturday, October 2nd.
You may be wondering ‘what does a 10-hour webathon entail?’ The Executive Director of CFHN, Sue Lawrenson, explains what will go into the virtual event.
They will be accepting donations to the group of ten charities. The overall goal is to raise $100,000 – with $10,000 being distributed to each charity attached to the webathon.
