The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has released the latest crime stats report for Milton through its CityProtect crime map.
Each week, the report details where and when reported crime cases in Milton took place. Between Monday, September 20th and Monday, September 27th, at least 11 cases of crime were reported. Here’s what we found:
- A property crime case on Commercial Street on Monday, September 20th;
- a theft case on Main Street East on Monday, September 20th;
- a property crime case on Duncan Lane on Monday, September 20th;
- a quality of life case on Bronte Street South on Tuesday, September 21st;
- a property crime case in the area of Derry Road and Farmstead Drive on Thursday, September 23rd;
- a breaking and entering case on Leger Way on Thursday, September 23rd;
- a theft case on Auger Terrace on Thursday, September 23rd;

- a theft case on Steeles Avenue on Friday, September 24th;
- a theft case on Sixth Line on Friday, September 24th; and,

Of the 11 cases that we were able track down on the map, five were a property crime case, four were a theft case of some kind, one was a quality of life case, and one was a break and enter case.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
