New Tecumseth’s two high schools continue to lead the way in fundraising for the Terry Fox Run.
While the big run was back on September 20th, area schools continue their efforts.
St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School in Tottenham will hold their Terry Fox Run Wednesday, September 29th.
Over the 25 years they have held the event STA have raised over $110,000 in total, the most money out of all the schools in Simcoe County.
They are looking to raise $2000 at this year’s event.
The Simcoe County District School Board has raised more than $4 million for the Terry Fox Foundation.
In 2020, students and staff raised $105,799.47, and Banting Memorial High School in Alliston was one of the top 50 fundraising schools in Ontario.
