As the province inches closer to rolling out a vaccine passport for indoor public spaces, individual Municipalities are reviewing and updating their policies.
Beginning September 22, Ontario residents will be required to show proof of vaccination and ID to enter indoor restaurants, nightclubs, sports and recreation clubs, casino
and bingo halls as well as concert venues, theaters and strip clubs.
The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is strongly recommending the implementation of workplace vaccinations to help maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
New Tecumseth, Essa Township, The Town of Innisfil and Adjala-Tosorontio are all reviewing the policy being implemented by the County of Simcoe.
That policy will required all employees, students and volunteers to be fully vaccinated by November 1 of this year, or face regular antigen testing in order to access County facilities.
