The latest crime stats report and updated crime map have been released by the Halton Regional Police Service.
The weekly report and crime map detail where and how many cases of crime took place in Milton in the last week. Looking over the map, there were at least 31 cases of crime in Milton between Monday, August 30th and Monday, September 6th. Here’s a breakdown of what we found:
- A theft of vehicle case on James Snow Parkway on Monday, August 30th;
- a theft case on First Line Nassagaweya in Moffat on Monday, August 30th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Cedar Hedge Road on Monday, August 30th;
- a theft case from Clark Boulevard on Monday, August 30th;
- a property crime case on Irving Terrace on Monday, August 30th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Britannia Road in Omagh on Monday, August 30th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Cochrane Terrace on Tuesday, August 31st;
- a property crime case on Meighen Crescent on Tuesday, August 31st;
- a breaking and entering case on Main Street East on Tuesday, August 31st;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Tuesday, August 31st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Haws Crescent on Tuesday, August 31st;
- a theft case on Haws Crescent on Tuesday, August 31st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Boston Church Road on Tuesday, August 31st;
- an assault case on Martin Street on Wednesday, September 1st;
- a theft case on Alliance Road on Wednesday, September 1st;
- a theft case in the area of Kovachik Crescent and Violet Gate on Wednesday, September 1st;
- a pair of theft from vehicle cases on Stevenson Street on Wednesday, September 1st;
- a theft of vehicle case on Jarvie Crescent on Wednesday, September 1st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Jarvie Crescent on Wednesday, September 1st;
- a theft from vehicle case on Chuchmach Close on Wednesday, September 1st;
- a theft case on Guelph Line in Campbellville on Thursday, September 2nd;
- a robbery on Guelph Line in Haltonville/Brookville on Thursday, September 2nd;
- a theft of vehicle case on Alexander Crescent on Thursday, September 2nd;
- a theft of vehicle case on Storey Drive on Thursday, September 2nd;
- a theft case on Bronte Street South on Thursday, September 2nd;
- a theft case on Anne Boulevard on Friday, September 3rd;
- a theft of vehicle case on Armstrong Boulevard on Saturday, September 4th;
- a theft from vehicle case on Portch Gate on Saturday, September 4th;
- a theft of vehicle case on Santa Maria Boulevard on Saturday, September 4th; and,
- a theft of vehicle case on Britannia Road in Omagh on Sunday, September 5th.
Now, it’s important to note that a reported theft of/from vehicle case just means that someone reported an attempt made on their vehicle. However, there is an increase in relay and reprogramming vehicle theft cases. You can learn more about that here.
With the number of theft and theft from vehicle cases, we’ll recycle a message from the HRPS where it encourages residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
- Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure;
- Never leave spare keys in your vehicle;
- Remove valuables from plain view; and,
- Equip your vehicle with an alarm.
