Seasons Milton has made a huge donation to the Salvation Army – Khi Community Food Bank.
Every year, Seasons Retirement Communities in Ontario and Alberta look to better their respective communities.
From July 5th to 16th, Seasons Milton took part in a friendly company-wide challenge to collect the most cans of food for food banks within their local areas. This year, staff and residents led Seasons Milton to be recognized as one of the top donors. Together, they raised a total of 475 cans.
“At Seasons Milton, we believe in the importance of uplifting the community in which we live and operate,” says Milton Seasons Retirement Communities General Manager Kim Mitchell. “Our goal is to work with the Salvation Army – Khi Community Food Bank to address food insecurity in our local community. In addition to our $2,000 donation earlier this year, the One Can Challenge reinforces our commitment to doing our part to address hunger among vulnerable groups such as children and older adults.”
The top Seasons Retirement Communities donors were Seasons Stoney Creek with 1,462 cans and Seasons Brantford with 580 cans. This year, Seasons Retirement Communities across the country collected more than 5,000 cans for local food banks.
Since 2016, Seasons Retirement Communities has focused its corporate giving efforts on local food banks in the towns that residents and team members call home. To date, Seasons has donated more than $180,000 in funds and food to local food banks.
