UPDATE
The Town of Milton says this road closure has been extended to October 22nd.
ORIGINAL (JUNE 17)
The Town of Milton is continuing work on Thompson Road, south of Louis St. Laurent Avenue.
The Town provided concise breakdown of the project:
- Road widening to four lanes
- Urbanization (remove ditches, replace with curbs and gutters for water to be strained by storm sewers)
- Roundabout at Whitlock Avenue and temporary signals at Logan Drive
- Bike lanes and multi-use pathways
Stage one began back in March. It saw a full closure at Thompson Road South between Britannia Road and the south limit of Whitlock Avenue. That will last until Thursday, June 17th.
Stage two will begin on Friday, June 18th. It will be full closure at Thompson Road South between south limit of Whitlock Avenue to Louis St. Laurent Avenue.
Traffic will be detoured via Regional Road 25, Fourth Line, Louis St. Laurent Avenue and Britannia Road. All road closures can be found using our interactive road closure map.
