We have the latest COVID-19 stats for Milton and Halton from the Region.
Across Halton, there are 95 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 16,463. With 15,509 resolved cases and 218 deaths, Halton is now at 759 active cases – 23 less than Tuesday’s count. The Region says that of the 16,463 total cases, 15,907 were confirmed positive while 556 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have 36 new cases. That brings us to 5368 total cases. With 5104 resolved cases and 45 deaths, Milton is at 231 active cases – 12 less than Tuesday’s number. The Region says that of the 5368 total cases, 5160 were confirmed positive while 208 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is detailing the number of COVID-19 variant cases. It says that 4782 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 1686 total variant cases.
The Halton Region is also noting vaccination numbers. A total of 239,623 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 209,703 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 8265 doses have been administered to people aged 16-24;
- 8047 doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 9502 doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 11,172 doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 17,828 doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 19,395 doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 20,845 doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 24,950 doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 26,498 doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 24,148 doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 22,406 doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 17,450 doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 29,103 doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 14 doses have been administered to people that are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 34,226 doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 20,049 doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 185,348 doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
