It has taken all afternoon, but we finally have the latest COVID-19 stats for Milton and Halton.
There are 150 new cases in the region. The total number of cases is up to 14,929. With 13,813 resolved cases and 211 deaths, Halton is now at 905 active cases – 17 more than Wednesday’s count. The Region says that of the 14,929 total cases, 14,440 were confirmed positive while 489 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have 51 new cases. That brings us to 4857 total cases. With 4529 resolved cases and 40 deaths, Milton is at 288 active cases – 15 more than Wednesday’s number. The Region says that of the 4857 total cases, 4675 were confirmed positive while 182 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is detailing the number of COVID-19 variant cases. It says that 3588 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 1282 total variant cases.
The Halton Region is also noting vaccination numbers. A total of 92,387 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 169,197 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 4481 doses have been administered to people aged 16-24;
- 4937 doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 5238 doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 6251 doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 10,860 doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 11,998 doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 12,642 doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 19,982 doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 24,888 doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 23,339 doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 21,911 doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 17,146 doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 28,701 doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 13 doses have been administered to people that are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 26,801 doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 18,562 doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 147,024 doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
