It took a bit longer today but we finally have the latest COVID-19 stats for Milton and Halton.
Across Halton, there are 143 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 13,966. With 12,805 resolved cases and 207 deaths, Halton is now at 954 active cases – 19 less than Wednesday’s count. The Region says that of the 13,966 total cases, 13,518 were confirmed positive while 448 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have 48 new cases. That brings us to 4556 total cases. With 4206 resolved cases and 39 deaths, Milton is at 311 active cases – 34 less than Wednesday’s number. The Region says that of the 4556 total cases, 4388 were confirmed positive while 168 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is detailing the number of COVID-19 variant cases. It says that 2718 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 1023 total variant cases.
The Halton Region is also noting vaccination numbers. A total of 158,938 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 139,904 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 3450 doses have been administered to people aged 16-24;
- 3886 doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 3965 doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 4417 doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 5836 doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 6568 doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 7801 doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 16,622 doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 19,505 doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 20,820 doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 20,959 doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 16,709 doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 28,389 doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 11 doses have been administered to people that are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 15,103 doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 17,375 doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 126,460 doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
