History was made in Ottawa.
Yesterday, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland became the first woman in Canadian history to present a federal budget.
Minister for Women and Gender Equality, Maryam Monsef, says Freeland was the right person to breakthrough the barrier.
Monsef says she is proud to be colleagues with Chrystia Freeland.
During the budget presentation, Freeland gave special thanks to her mother and Canada’s only female Prime Minister, Kim Campbell.
