There are nearly 150 new cases in the Halton region on Tuesday, April 20th.
Across Halton, there are 148 new cases. The total number of cases is up to 13,690. With 12,474 resolved cases and 206 deaths, Halton is now at 1010 active cases – one more than Monday’s count. The Region says that of the 13,690 total cases, 13,250 were confirmed positive while 440 were considered probable cases.
In Milton, we have 55 new cases. That brings us to 4477 total cases. With 4093 resolved cases and 39 deaths, Milton is still at 345 active cases – the same as Monday’s number. The Region says that of the 4477 total cases, 4309 were confirmed positive while 168 were considered probable cases.
The Halton Region is detailing the number of COVID-19 variant cases. It says that 2478 total variant cases have been found in Halton. Milton has reportedly had 936 total variant cases.
The Halton Region is also noting vaccination numbers. A total of 148,832 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton. 130,792 of the doses were to Halton residents.
Here’s a breakdown on ages of those receiving doses:
- 3303 doses have been administered to people aged 16-24;
- 3688 doses have been administered to people aged 25-29;
- 3760 doses have been administered to people aged 30-34;
- 4067 doses have been administered to people aged 35-39;
- 4743 doses have been administered to people aged 40-44;
- 5397 doses have been administered to people aged 45-49;
- 6528 doses have been administered to people aged 50-54;
- 15,111 doses have been administered to people aged 55-59;
- 17,056 doses have been administered to people aged 60-64;
- 19,585 doses have been administered to people aged 65-69;
- 20,672 doses have been administered to people aged 70-74;
- 16,600 doses have been administered to people aged 75-79;
- 28,311 doses have been administered to people aged 80+; and,
- 11 doses have been administered to people that are pending.
The following is where the vaccine doses have been administered:
- 11,224 doses have been administered through pharmacies and physicians’ offices;
- 17,001 doses have been administered through the Halton Region Public Health and Paramedic Mobile Teams;
- 120,607 doses have been administered through community and hospital-based clinics.
