
The Milton Rotary Club is partnering with the Italian Canadian Cultural Centre for a new campaign.
The two groups will raise funds and donations for the Milton Community Resource Centre Infant Food Bank.
The Director of Community Services for the Rotary Club, Rod McLachlan, says ‘Drive to Thrive’ is about helping young families.
He adds that the Infant Food Bank is a fantastic local resource that helps improve the lives of young families.

The Rotary Club and ICCM are looking for:
- Diapers (Pampers and Huggies, sizes 4-6, pull-ups);
- Baby Formula (Enfamil A+, Similac, Good Start); and,
- Period Supplies (Panty Liners, Tampons, Pads, Menstrual cups).
You can provide monetary donations online or drop off donations at the MCRC, located at 410 Bronte Street South in Milton. They’re open Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m..
The deadline is May 12th.
Also, time is running out on the Rotary Scholarship. There are three $1500 scholarships available for high school students of any age. It’s for students who live in Milton, but they don’t need to attend school in our town.
The deadline to apply is Saturday, May 1st. Applicants are asked to write an essay on their work of volunteering within the community, as well as a summary of their educational goals as they move on to post-secondary. A resume with references, as well as their student transcript are also required. You can click here to submit your application. Interviews will be held shortly after, and the recipients will be announced in May.
