The Halton Regional Police Service says that a person-in-crisis is recovering after a late-night incident.
Just before 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7th, officers attended the scene in downtown Georgetown where they found the person experiencing a reported mental health episode.
At 3:20 a.m., the Halton Police Milton & Halton Hills Twitter account notified residents of the situation and asked others to avoid the area, adding that there was no threat to public safety.

Shortly after that, at about 4:00 a.m., the incident concluded. It was noted on Twitter by the Halton Police that the person-in-crisis was safely taken into custody to receive treatment at a hospital.
