The Milton Chamber of Commerce is happy with its Sports Celebrity virtual events.
The pandemic caused the annual dinner to be moved virtual this year.
Chamber President and CEO Scott McCammon says it was a new experience, but he really enjoyed it.
Night one featured the famous Hound Line (Wendel Clark, Gary Leeman, and Russ Courtnall) of the 1980’s Toronto Maple Leafs. McCammon reflects on the relationship that the three men shared both on and off the ice as something that stood out from the event.
The second night was held on Monday, March 8th, and had an all female Olympian line-up for International Women’s Day. McCammon says hearing their experiences was an incredible moment.
The money raised from the two nights will be used for the Chamber’s scholarship program. Students can apply to receive one of the scholarships right now. The deadline is April 30th.
